BERLIN
Berlin In April, 2010, after giving an invited lecture at the German Surgical Society in Berlin, I was able to spend a few extra days touring. Located in northeastern Germany on the River Spree, Berlin is home to renowned universities, research institutes, orchestras, and museums and well known for its festivals, diverse architecture, and contemporary arts. Potsdamn provided a unique contrast to Berlin’s vibrant metropolitan area.
